I've been prompted by Air Topper several times to write a review. Here goes: I have a Rivian Truck which has a similar truck bed size to the Maverick. I chose to purchase the X size which is the next size up (slightly larger all around). I wanted the larger in hopes I could continue to use my tri-fold tonneau. I inflated it, and the last panel blew. I put it on anyway to see if this was the size I wanted. I thought it fit well but the inward angle of the walls prevented the tonneau cover from opening. The folks were great at Flated. She suggested I go with the Maverick size and sent me that size. After a few weeks after it arrived, I installed it. It is lighter and slightly more manageable for a solo 61 y/o short female to load it on the truck and strap it down. The middle strapping was a challenge as the rivian doesn't have a readily available ring to latch to in the middle of each side of the truck bed. So I rigged something up. I am experimenting with ways to keep the contents secure without a tonneau cover, which is my main concern at this point. I haven't had the chance to sleep in it yet, but that is my next goal. I researched this thing for years. I needed something small enough to fit the truck bed and something I could 1) afford and 2) lift on my own. That meant fiberglass caps were out. This fit that bill. Now, I just need to sleep in it when it is cold, or buggy, or really hot. But I am optimistic and think this will be great. I want to be able to keep it on the truck permanently but am a bit concerned that the topper is not made for that.
Downsides: The webbing straps fray ALOT on the ends, like wild long hair. I wished I had an air meter that attached to my pump so I could get real time info on how many psi I have as I inflate. I wished I got a refund for the price difference between the X and the Maverick.
As you can see, the downsides are few and small in relation to the upsides. It took me two years of researching to come to Flated, and so far I am glad.
